GENERAL SUMMARY: The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for the proper preparation of the planned menu and the overall supervision of the kitchen employees. In the absence of the Executive Chef, Food and Beverage Director and the Dining Room Manager, the Executive Sous Chef will assume responsibility for the entire operation.

Position Available: Full-time; Day: Varied; Shift: Varied.

1. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform basic arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions.

2. Minimum of three years of experience as a chef in a hotel, restaurant, or club. Fine dining experience is preferred. Dining room experience is desirable.

3. Associate degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.

4. Ability to plan and organize work effectively and accurately interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and established standards.

5. Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance. Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements is preferred. Healthcare experience is desirable.

6. Must possess a valid and active driver's license issued by any state.

7. Must successfully complete Cypress of Raleigh golf cart training.
