Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Exercise Physiologist to provide services at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, NM.
Position Highlights
- Full Time
- Monday thru Friday (7 a to 4p)

- Shall provide direct support to academy leadership, physical training (PT) departments, instructors, and trainees.
Scope of Work
- Conduct daily observations of PT classes, ensuring adherence to approved curricula and standards, and provide feedback to instructors and leadership.
- Assist and provide guidance in designing, reviewing, and updating the Pre-Employment Physical Readiness Program annually to reflect current best practices and operational requirements.
- Assist in leading and coordinating Physical Training Instructor Qualification Courses and providing guidance in standardizing instructor competencies across the academy.
- Work closely with nutritionists, medical staff, and academy leadership to assist in delivering integrated health and wellness solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and report on fitness testing and performance data to evidence-based curriculum adjustments and leadership decision-making.
- Assist with investigating musculoskeletal and environmental injuries, conduct root cause analyses, and provide evidence-based recommendations for risk mitigation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in tactical, military, law enforcement, or high-risk occupational training environments.
- Current NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based training, injury prevention, and performance
