    Description

    Overview

    Bowhead Information Technologies Service is seeking a Exercise/Wargame Planning and Assessment Support SME to support our Space Forces – Space customer.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute all activities in the Design, Planning, Preparation, Execution, and Analysis, Evaluation, and Report phases of a S4S participated JELC
    • Conduct S4S operational staff assessments for exercises and real-world situation, plans, and operations
    • Provide staff assessments to CDR S4S consisting of objectives, effects, tasks, measures of effectiveness, measures of performance, and indicators
    • Provide continuous real-world assessments will be for the CDR S4S’s area of responsibility and conducted for all S4S plans and operations
    • Synchronize and coordinate activities and products among DoD, Allies, and Mission Partners
    • Maintain integration with DoD, Allies, and Mission Partner operations and activities to ensure current and accurate staff assessments
    • Routinely attend unit O&I updates, working groups, OPT, observations of real world and exercise events, and collaboration with counterparts
    • Participate in exercise and wargame events to include JELC conferences, IPR, and execution
    • Participate in Exercise Control Group and/or White Cell activities during execution of exercises and wargames
    • Support development and refinement of the S4S JMETL and DRRS assessments
    • Utilize unit readiness tools including assessments, lessons learned, objectives, and requirements to influence exercise and wargame design and intelligence planning
    • Conduct continuous assessments and lessons learned of exercise and wargame activities contributing to the Commander’s assessment of overall unit readiness
    • Contribute to the development CDR S4S Training Guidance and support the implementation of such guidance
    • Maintain integration with DoD, Allies, and Mission Partner operations and activities to ensure current and accurate exercise planning. Integration includes routine attendance at unit O&I updates, working groups, OPT, observations of real world and exercise events, and collaboration with counterparts
    • Support to Exercises and Wargames may require after-hours and weekend support coordinated through the Contracting Office and Contractor PM

    Qualifications

    • Minimum BA/BS (MA/MS is preferred)
    • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
    • Experience in initiating and/or developing Government specified joint exercises, tabletop exercises, and rehearsal of concept drills for S7
    • Demonstrated capability initiating, supervising, and developing requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; providing detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
    • Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges
    • Maintains the specific skills, knowledge, and comprehension to perform all task functions quickly and accurately without supervision or assistance

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to lift up to 25pounds
    Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
    Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

    Must currently hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI, SAP and ACCM Eligibility.
