Job Summary
Premier Workforce is actively recruiting skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistants (EFDAs) for dental practices throughout Indiana.
The EFDA will provide advanced chairside assistance, perform expanded clinical functions permitted by state regulations, assist with restorative procedures, and support dentists in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding career in a modern, patient-focused dental environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist dentists during restorative, cosmetic, and preventive procedures.
Perform expanded functions in accordance with Indiana regulations and office protocols.
Place, carve, contour, and polish restorative materials as directed by the dentist.
Take dental impressions and digital scans.
Take and process dental radiographs.
Prepare patients and treatment rooms for procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
Educate patients regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials.
Support efficient patient flow and positive patient experiences.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and office safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED.
Previous Dental Assistant experience.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and materials.
Strong chairside assisting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) training or certification.
Dental Radiography/X-Ray Certification.
Coronal Polishing Certification.
Experience with digital imaging and dental software.
CPR/BLS Certification.
Experience in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, or oral surgery.
