Timber Dental is seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is essential in supporting providers, ensuring efficient clinical flow, and delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist doctors during a variety of dental procedures
- Perform expanded functions duties in accordance with state regulations and certifications
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate patient records
- Place restorations and complete EFDA procedures as permitted by licensure
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Support team members to create a smooth and positive patient experience
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Current EFDA certification/license as required by state regulations
- Dental assisting experience preferred
- Radiology certification required
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and strong team-player mindset
- Experience with dental software and digital charting preferred
