Expediter II

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Expediter II in Aiken, SC for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position supports manufacturing operations by moving products between operations and to designated lay-down areas, staging jobs, locating and moving fixtures, reviewing paperwork, and assisting with general shop work. The Expediter II will help facilitate production workflow while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience
• Ability to safely and reliably operate forklifts and lifting equipment
• Forklift experience and certification or qualification
• Crane and rigging experience, certification, or qualification
• Ability to successfully complete crane and rigging training within two months of hire
• Ability to become forklift and crane/rigging qualified or certified within two months
• Basic problem-solving skills in a weld and machine environment
• Commitment to promoting a culture of safety in a manufacturing environment
• Professional conduct and commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with company safety protocols

What You’ll Do

• Load and unload parts onto weld tables and fixtures
• Stage weldments and fixtures in production areas and lay-down areas
• Move products between operations and to lay-down areas as instructed
• Locate and move fixtures
• Stage jobs to support production operations
• Review paperwork before moving items to the next operation
• Identify damaged parts or components
• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, rigging equipment, hand carts, magnets, and other material handling equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
• Support overall team objectives and production schedules
• Perform general shop work and additional duties as required

Work Schedule / Shift

• Second Shift: 3:15 PM–1:45 AM
• 4/40 work schedule
• Monday–Thursday schedule
