Job title: Expeditor (Temporary Worker)

Job profile Name: Purchasing Assistant

Time Frame: 3-6 months with Temp to Hire Option

The Purchasing Assistant is in charge of starting the search for suppliers, analyzing offers, carrying out the administrative purchase process and following up until the invoice is paid to the supplier.

General Responsibilities
Reviews purchase requests, develops supply sources, prepares bid specifications and bid requests.
Reviews departmental purchase requisitions to verify completeness and accuracy of information.
Identifies proper and reliable sources to fulfill internal customer needs described by Purchasing requisitions on time.
Supports the sourcing buyer on activities related to cost reduction.
Assists the buyer by following the global strategy.
Assists the buyer in reviewing commercial contracts.
Organizes deliveries and supplies in order to fulfill internal/ production requirements.
Follows-up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
Works with internal customers to review spare part drawings and specifications to provide sourcing recommendations to meet business needs.
Assists members of the procurement team carry out their role/duties with various administrative tasks.

Experience / Qualifications
Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
