The Manufacturing Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by expediting the flow of materials between various departments within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.This role requires full-time, onsite support at our Chatsworth facility to effectively support shipping and warehouse operations.Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:* Coordinate with production planners, procurement team, and warehouse staff to prioritize and expedite the flow of materials and components needed for production.* Monitor inventory levels and production schedules to identify potential bottlenecks or delays.* Expedite urgent orders or critical materials to meet production deadlines.* Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues that may arise.* Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, production schedules, and material movements.* Collaborate with production managers and supervisors to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.* Participate in continuous improvement and team building activities.* Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards at all times.* Proficient in use of basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to (non/ powered) screw drivers* Assemble, modify, and rework production components / sub-assemblies utilizing process documentation (drawings) and Bill of Materials.* Maintains productive working relationships with all team members.* Performs other duties as assigned by manager with minimal supervision.Qualifications:* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a role involving material coordination or expediting.* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.* Proficient computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and MS Office Suite.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.* Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.* High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in supply chain management or a related field are a plus. Minimum ONE (1) year assembly and expediting experience necessary; Two (2) years' experience preferred.When it's time to unwind and recharge, check out our game room.
