Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Expeditor to support our operations by ensuring the timely flow and delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining schedules, preventing delays, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Job Description
- Monitor the flow of materials and shipments to ensure alignment with project or production schedules
- Track and check the status of orders to confirm timely processing and delivery
- Coordinate with department heads, vendors, and shipping partners to ensure goods are dispatched on scheduled dates
- Verify shipment timelines by communicating with vendors via phone, email, mail, or in-person visits
- Collaborate with transportation companies to prevent transit delays and resolve logistics issues
- Initiate and manage shipment tracers when delays occur during transit
- Coordinate the distribution of materials upon arrival to ensure smooth delivery to the appropriate destination
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, communications, and delivery statuses
- Worker with be in a subicle with a 50/50 between floor work and office work.
- PPE supplied by site Hard hat required, safety glasses and ear plugs
Skills Required
- 1–3 years of experience in expediting, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, tracking systems)
- Shift: 5am - 1:30pm M-F
- Role is safety sensitive
- 1-2 years of exp in computer skills, order management/procurement, SAP
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Pay Rate
- $26 - $29 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
