Nels Anderson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Plumber to join our trade team in Hartland, WI. In this role, you will perform technical installation, maintenance, and repair work across residential and commercial plumbing systems. We are looking for a skilled professional with strong hands-on expertise, code knowledge, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities
System Operations & Safety: Shut off steam, water, or other gases/liquids from pipe sections using valve keys or wrenches.
Assembly & Joinery: Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
Layout & Measurement: Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
Fabrication: Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.
Blueprint & Code Review: Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
Testing & Inspection: Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
Fixture & Appliance Installation: Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets using hand or power tools.
Structural Supports: Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place, and attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures (radiators or tanks) using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
Maintenance & Repair: Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment. Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
Structural Preparation: Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings using hand or power tools.
Administrative & Field Coordination: Keep records of work assignments and inspect structures to assess material or equipment needs, establish the sequence of pipe installations, or plan installation around obstructions (such as electrical wiring).
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on plumbing experience required (Journeyman Plumber is a plus).
Strong practical knowledge of plumbing tools, fabrication techniques, and local Wisconsin codes.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report / MVR check required).
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or direct on-site helpers.
Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift heavy equipment, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
