Position: Full-time, on-site Saturday availability required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional installation experience
Compensation: Guaranteed base pay or earned commissions, whichever is greater. Starting base pay and commission terms are based on experience and demonstrated skills.
Black Optix Tint – Spring is hiring an experienced installer who takes pride in clean wiring, reliable installations, and treating every customer’s vehicle with care.
If you have at least two years of professional experience installing car audio, 12-volt electronics, or automotive accessories, we’d like to hear from you. Join our growing shop serving Spring, and help establish the quality and customer experience we’re building our reputation on.

Automotive electronics and accessories will be your primary focus. Willingness to learn window tinting is required; previous tinting experience is not.
What you’ll do
• Install stereos, speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, and vehicle integration components.
• Install dash cameras, backup cameras, lighting, and other automotive accessories.
• Install alarms and remote starts within your training and experience.
• Diagnose electrical and installation issues using a multimeter, wiring diagrams, and vehicle-specific information.
• Complete clean, secure wiring with proper grounding, fusing, circuit protection, and cable routing.
• Remove and reinstall interior panels carefully, protecting vehicle surfaces and components.
• Test completed installations and affected vehicle functions, and explain equipment operation to customers.
• Communicate job progress and parts needs, and keep your tools and workspace organized.
What you’ll bring
• At least two years of professional experience in 12-volt electronics, car audio, or automotive accessory installation.
• The ability to complete common installations independently and recognize when unfamiliar work requires guidance.
• A working understanding of automotive electrical circuits, troubleshooting, and safe installation practices.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and professional communication.
• A willingness to learn new skills, accept feedback, and help teammates improve.
• A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• The ability to perform hands-on installation work, with reasonable accommodation as needed.
Helpful extras: MECP certification or experience with window tint, PPF, wraps, detailing, ceramic coatings, suspension, or tire installation. These are a plus—not requirements.
Be part of the whole shop
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with others and engaging with customers. Alongside your installation work, you’ll cross-train in tinting, assist coworkers as trained and qualified, and help capture photos and videos of completed work for social media and marketing.
