As a result, a full‑time position is available for an Experienced Airport Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Midwest group. This exciting opportunity is available in the following locations: Middleton, WI (greater Madison area); De Pere, WI; and West Allis (Milwaukee), WI.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and leading military and federal aviation engineering projectsEvaluating and analyzing existing projectsPreparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permitsLeading proactive client interactions, marketing and communications with federal aviation clientsPreparing scoping documents, fee estimates, and marketing strategies for proposed projectsOversee schedules and budgets for projects including forecasting workloads and monitoring work task hoursPerforming QA/QC tasks including leading design reviewsPrimary point of contact for client interactions providing regular project status updatesServing as the project manager and mentoring project staff; and serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projectsOther tasks as assigned.A valid driver's license and frequent travel will be required.Required QualificationsA bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or universityAt least 8 years of relevant work experiencePE license in any state with ability to obtain a PE license in additional states as neededPreferred ExperienceExperience with aviation and federal site design is preferredAutoCAD Civil3D design softwareLeading the development of plans, specs, reports, cost estimates, and submittal packages for military projectsSpecsIntact softwarePCASE softwareProject QA/QC including leading design reviewsPreparing scopes, fees, and contractsClient management and marketingMentoring project staffProject managementAt Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
