C. Harper Chevrolet / Cadillac in Belle Vernon is looking for two experienced A-Level Automotive Service Technicians / Mechanics to join our growing service operation.

Customer demand is strong, and we need experienced technicians who can diagnose and repair vehicles at a high level.

If you have 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience, strong diagnostic abilities and take pride in fixing vehicles correctly the first time, this is an opportunity worth looking at.

GM experience is preferred - but strong technicians from other manufacturers are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose, maintain and repair customer vehicles

• Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately

• Perform advanced engine and drivability diagnostics

• Diagnose electrical and electronic system concerns

• Diagnose and repair engine performance issues

• Diagnose transmission concerns

• Service steering and suspension systems

• Diagnose and repair braking systems

• Service air-conditioning and HVAC systems

• Diagnose fuel-system concerns

• Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs

• Utilize advanced electronic diagnostic equipment

• Utilize GM special tools and diagnostic equipment

• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications

• Complete customer-pay repairs

• Perform video multipoint inspections

• Identify legitimate additional maintenance and repair needs

• Test-drive vehicles to verify customer concerns

• Test-drive completed vehicles to confirm repairs

• Communicate repair needs with Service Advisors

• Accurately document completed repairs

• Mentor and assist less-experienced technicians

• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of professional Automotive Service Technician experience

• A-level diagnostic and repair capabilities

• Strong electrical diagnostic abilities

• Advanced engine and drivability diagnostic skills

• Ability to perform complex mechanical repairs

• Experience using advanced diagnostic equipment

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• GM dealership experience preferred

• Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick or GMC experience is a major plus

• Master Technician or OEM certifications preferred

• ASE certifications are a plus

• Pennsylvania state inspection and emissions licenses preferred

• Hybrid and EV experience is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer and dealership software skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
