Responsibilities
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership - familiarizing yourself with the service department & procedures • Assist Service Advisor in test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems • Know how to use diagnostic tools and special service equipment • Diagnosing maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed • Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
• Ability to identify the problem quickly • Good knowledge of automobiles • Effective analytical and communication skills • Good reading computer and mathematics skills • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications • Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment • High School Diploma or GED • Technical degree preferred • ASE certifications preferred • Minimum of 3 years experience • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Basic Computer Skills • Positive friendly attitude • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license • Pass a Background Drug and MVR Check
