**Position Overview:**
As an Experienced Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. You will utilize your technical skills and knowledge to ensure that our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best. Your experience and understanding of modern automotive technology will enable you to work on various systems and components effectively.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Execute repair and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, engine work, transmission services, and more.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and industry standards to ensure all work is performed accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues and ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed on customer vehicles.
- Collaborate with the service advisor and other team members to provide clear communication regarding vehicle status and required repairs.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and safety practices.
- Ensure the shop area is clean and organized, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and services to customers in a clear and professional manner.
**Qualifications:**
- Automotive technical training or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
- ASE certification is highly desirable; additional certifications in specific systems (e.g., HVAC, diesel, etc.) are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
