    Family-owned multi-unit Full Service Automotive Repair & Tire Company founded in 1990 has an immediate opening for an Automotive Technician with a minimum of 4 years of experience.  You should be highly qualified to do a thorough inspection, properly diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicles.

    The minimum annual wage will be at least $85,000 and the right candidate should easily exceed $135,000.

    We are looking for an Automotive Technician committed to providing the highest quality diagnosis, repair and service to satisfy the customer.  The candidate should be ambitious, hard-working and work well in a Team environment.  This Technician will be part of one of the fastest-growing companies in Metro Detroit.

    Your compensation is a weekly guarantee or flat rate times the number of booked hours (whichever is higher).

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Diagnostics using state-of-the-art technology
    • Performs vehicle repairs (Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning and Engine Performance)
    • Communicate diagnosis and needed repairs as required to assist the Manager/Sales Staff and/or clarify for Customers
    • Maintains an organized and safe work environment
    • Other duties as assigned by the Manager

    Qualifications:


    • Ability to repair vehicles independently while also having experience working well in a Team environment
    • Knowledge in Automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension & engine diagnostics
    • Track record of high personal productivity
    • Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
    • Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent - technical degree a definite plus
    • State-specific auto repair certifications
    • Valid Driver's license
    • Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
    • Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
