Introduction:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Barback to join our team at our busy restaurant. The Barback will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, including setting and clearing tables, washing dishes, and ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and presentable at all times. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Set and clear tables, including setting up tableware, condiments, and other amenities
Wash glassware and clean bar equipment as needed
Stock supplies, such as linens, napkins, bottles, ice and glassware
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and liquor room including sweeping and mopping floors when needed
Assist bartenders with refilling drinks and bringing out food orders
Handle customer complaints and concerns with grace and professionalism
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a barback or in a similar role is preferred
Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus
