Experienced Barista

At LongStory Coffee the barista is the heart of the business. In this role you will be expected to take customer orders, prepare drinks/food, clean dishes, and open/close effectively.

At minimum baristas should have a background in espresso and coffee preparation. This includes manually grinding, tamping, and pulling espresso shots, in addition to manually steaming and pouring milk with a basic understanding of temperature and milk foam preperation.

Expected pay is between $15-$17 an hour plus tips.

Tips typically range an additional $8-$16 an hour on top of base $15-$17 an hour.

Currently hiring for Tuesday and Thursday close shifts, as well as Sunday morning bar back with additional open shifts available periodically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare & Serve Beverages: Craft high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.

• Customer Interaction: Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.

• Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.

• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep workstations, equipment, and dining areas clean and stocked.

• Stock & Inventory: Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.

• Follow Health & Safety Standards: Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed.

• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with coworkers to ensure smooth operations and great service.
