Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled shower installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks related to shower installations. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Installer will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. An assigned "helper" will float between the jobs.
A Day in the Life
- Arriving at the warehouse in the morning
- Loading materials for the current job
- Discussing updates with the Project Manager regarding current or upcoming projects
- Delivering materials to the project site
- Setting up protective coverings such as drop cloths and moving blankets on vanities and toilets
- Performing demolition down to the studs and subfloor of the bathroom
- Adapting supply lines and discharge pipes for drains
- Installing waterproof backerboard
- Installing shower panels and accessories
- Completing trim and finish carpentry in the wet area
- Cleaning the bathroom upon project completion
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and obtaining signatures for the close-out packet
- Disposing of all trash and debris
- Returning to the warehouse to return tools and any extra materials
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or related fields is essential
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with construction management principles and practices
- Experience in various installation techniques including shower doors
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
