Experienced Caregivers Needed – Hoyer Lift

Griswold Home Care is hiring experienced, dependable caregivers to support clients with higher-acuity personal care needs, including clients who require assistance with a mechanical or Hoyer lift.

We have opportunities throughout Southwest Raleigh, Cary, Apex, and Morrisville, with shifts ranging from 1 to 12 hours.

• Pay ranging from $16.50–$25.00 per hour

• Rates based on experience, client needs, and shift length

Caregiver Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary depending on each client’s care plan and may include:

• Safely operating a mechanical or Hoyer lift
• Assisting with transfers, mobility, and repositioning
• Providing hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care
• Supporting clients who require extensive or total assistance with daily activities
• Following transfer and fall-prevention procedures
• Providing companionship and supervision
• Preparing meals and providing medication reminders
• Performing light housekeeping
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition
• Following the client’s care plan and communicating concerns to the Griswold office
• Providing two-person assistance when required by the care plan

Requirements

• Previous hands-on caregiving experience
• Experience safely using a mechanical or Hoyer lift
• Comfortable assisting clients with complex personal care and mobility needs
• CNA or PCA certification is strongly preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Current TB test or willingness to obtain one
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Dependable, compassionate, professional, and safety-focused
• Able to perform the physical responsibilities of the position safely
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Griswold team
