We are hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to install, assemble, and commission commercial HVAC systems throughout the Shawnee, KS area. This role covers rooftop units, split systems, ductwork, and sheet metal installation on commercial job sites. The ideal Commercial HVAC Installer is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading or working within a crew.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial HVAC Installer
- Install commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VRF/VRV systems, and ductwork. Lay out and install sheet metal and duct systems per blueprint specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Perform equipment rigging, setting, and startup procedures, and install piping and controls as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site to keep installations on schedule and up to code.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe job site, and complete job documentation and time tracking accurately.
Qualifications – Commercial HVAC Installer
- 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC installation; 5+ years preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, sheet metal, and ductwork installation techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings, with strong math skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, hand and power tools, and general job site safety practices.
- Valid driver's license and High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications – Experienced HVAC Technician
- Completion of a registered HVAC/Sheet Metal apprenticeship program.
- EPA Certification.
- Prior crew-lead or team leadership experience.
Physical Requirements – Commercial HVAC Installer
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Able to perform shift work and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Able to work in rooftop, mechanical room, and outdoor environments.
- Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
- Regular standing, bending, and use of hand and power tools throughout shifts.
