Holiday Market- Experienced Deli Manager Needed!

As the Deli Manager at Holiday Market, you will oversee the daily operations of our Deli department, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient production, and the highest standards of product quality and presentation. You will manage a skilled team, maintain department profitability, and ensure food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and develop deli staff, fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork, quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain a fully stocked and visually appealing deli, ensuring consistent quality and freshness of deli meats, cheeses, and other products.

• Prepare, slice, and package deli meats, cheeses, and other products according to customer orders.

• Oversee deli schedules, product preparation, packaging, and labeling in accordance with Holiday Market’s standards.

• Manage ingredient inventory, monitor stock levels, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of products and supplies.

• Control waste and shrinkage, maximizing profitability while maintaining quality and consistency.

• Provide outstanding customer service by offering product recommendations, answering questions about ingredients and allergens, and handling custom or special orders.

• Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the deli, conducting regular inspections and maintaining compliance with health regulations.

• Drive sales growth through effective merchandising, seasonal promotions, and creative displays that showcase our deli products.

• Operate deli equipment, such as slicers and scales, safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing a deli department or similar leadership role in food production.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

• Comprehensive knowledge of deli techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.

• Passion for crafting high-quality foods and creating delightful customer experiences.

• Ability to lift and move heavy deli supplies, stand for extended periods, and work in warm environments.

• Availability to work weekends and holidays, which are the busiest times at Holiday Market.
