About the Role:
Highland Auto & Truck Repair, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Reading, PA. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled technicians to work on a diverse range of diesel vehicles in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on diesel engines.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment.
Replace or repair defective parts using hand and power tools.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate repair needs effectively.
Stay updated on the latest diesel technology and repair techniques.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
Valid Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience.
Driver's license, Class A/B preferred.
PA State Inspection license preferred.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
