Our boutique Divorce / Family Law Firm is presently hiring an
experienced Family Law Litigation Associate looking to advance their career in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate
must have at least three (3) years as a Divorce / Family Law Attorney.
The Associate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Maintain the minimum billable hour requirement;
2. Provide compassionate legal services to clients in all forms of family law matters, including divorce, equitable distribution, custody, support, step-parent adoptions. Our office also provides services for Name Changes and Estate Planning matters;
3. Draft legal pleadings and documents as well as researching of local rules and case law;
4. Represent clients in Court for conferences, hearings and trials;
5. Timely respond to all client telephone calls and emails within the contractual obligation set forth in the Firm’s Engagement Letter;
6. Oversee the timeline and presentation of service of discovery and preparation of discovery responses;
7. Exhibit unwavering professionalism and ethical integrity.
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar.
- Minimum of 3 years experience specifically in Divorce / Family law.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Is able to manage multiple cases with strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
It is expected that the Associate will:
- Participate in CLEs in order to fine-tune litigation skills and techniques;
- Enroll and attend meetings with the local Bar Association;
- Endeavor to become a published author in his/her field;
- Attend professional conferences.
