About the Opportunity

Trimlight is looking for an experienced, motivated Door-to-Door Sales Representative to help grow our residential permanent lighting business.

This is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for someone who already understands how to prospect, knock doors, create conversations with homeowners, overcome objections, generate appointments, and close sales.

What makes this opportunity different is the industry itself. Permanent programmable lighting is a growing category, and while we have an established product and installation system, the sales playbook is still evolving.

We're looking for someone who is excited by that.

The ideal candidate doesn't need a step-by-step script telling them exactly how to sell. Instead, they bring proven sales experience, strong instincts, and a willingness to test different approaches, learn what works, and help us build an even stronger sales process.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prospect residential neighborhoods through door-to-door outreach.
• Introduce homeowners to Trimlight's permanent programmable lighting systems.
• Identify homeowners who have a need or interest in permanent exterior lighting.
• Educate customers on the benefits, applications, pricing, and installation process.
• Generate qualified leads, appointments, and sales.
• Conduct follow-up with prospective customers throughout the sales process.
• Handle questions, objections, and concerns confidently.
• Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
• Work within designated territories and develop an effective approach to those areas.
• Track activity, appointments, proposals, and closed sales.
• Learn the Trimlight product line and become confident presenting the system to homeowners.
• Work with management to identify what sales approaches are working and where the process can be improved.
• Help develop and refine the company's door-to-door sales strategy as the market continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Previous door-to-door or direct sales experience.
• Demonstrated ability to generate your own opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable approaching and speaking with homeowners.
• Ability to handle rejection and continue prospecting consistently.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong follow-through and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors and walk neighborhoods for extended periods.

Compensation
