Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electric Motor Repair Technician to join our busy repair shop. As an Technician, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with motors and gearboxes.
As an Technician, you must have an in-depth understanding of electric motors, gearboxes, and motor components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with other technicians and our sales team.
Responsibilities
- Tear down, diagnose, and reassemble electric motors and gearboxes coming into the shop
- Manage work flow between the motor shop, machine shop, and fabrication shop
- Conduct in-depth inspections of all components, including stator, rotor, end bells, shaft, bearings, and windings
- Create repair estimates and timelines
- Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
- Bill time and materials spent on jobs
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an electric motor repair shop
