Job Overview
Abacus Staffing is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators for multiple warehouse and distribution facilities throughout Central New Jersey. We are looking for candidates with experience operating warehouse equipment in fast-paced distribution, logistics, and manufacturing environments.
Qualified candidates should be experienced operating one or more of the following:
- Reach Truck
- Cherry Picker / Order Picker
- Sit-Down Forklift
- Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate material handling equipment to move products and materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately
- Perform put-away, replenishment, and inventory movement tasks
- Pick orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Transport products to designated storage and staging locations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Verify product counts, labels, and locations for accuracy
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Experience operating Reach Truck, Cherry Picker/Order Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, and/or Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)
- Forklift certification preferred (may be required by specific client assignments)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the shift
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transportation to assigned work location
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
