Your Impact
As our Hospice Scheduler, you'll serve as the communication and coordination hub for our clinical team by:
- Coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for hospice nurses, aides, and clinicians
- Matching clinicians with patients based on location, skills, and patient needs
- Collaborating with clinical leadership to manage PTO, call-offs, and visit coverage
- Establishing and tracking hospice benefit periods
- Scheduling required face-to-face visits with the Nurse Practitioner
- Responding quickly to urgent scheduling changes while maintaining excellent patient service
- Communicating schedule updates clearly with field staff
- Monitoring visit schedules and supporting documentation compliance
- Maintaining accurate information within WellSky (Kinnser) and scheduling systems
- Serving as a vital liaison between clinical and administrative departments
- Assisting with scheduling and onboarding of new clinical team members
- Participating in process improvement initiatives that enhance patient care
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- One to two years of healthcare scheduling experience required
- Hospice or Home Health scheduling experience strongly preferred
- Experience with WellSky (Kinnser), HCHB, or similar EMR software preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and a strong sense of teamwork
