Position: Experienced Inside Sales
Location: West Jordan UT

Rust Automation & Controls is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative with a strong technical background to support our customers and drive business growth. In this in-office role, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, and control products to provide advanced technical support, develop tailored solutions, and partner closely with outside sales teams. Key responsibilities include preparing precise and technically accurate quotations, managing complex orders, and ensuring seamless coordination between customers, vendors, and internal teams. This position requires proven experience in a technical sales or applications support role, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. 

Role & Responsibilities

• Solving process problems. You'll provide technical, application, and product support to customers who need the right instruments and valves for their applications, with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Turning P&IDs into answers. You'll use process data, technical documents, and bid specifications to match products to real applications.
• Sharing what you know. You'll be a go-to resource for your teammates, because our customers benefit when the whole team is sharp.
• Getting out in the field. You'll visit customer sites to build relationships, train, and grow the business.
• Owning your initiatives. You'll run certain sales initiatives directly with customers, and we'll give you room to do it.

• Acts independently and on own initiative
• Uses understanding of customer needs to initiate solutions
• Implement customer feedback to improve overall experience and prevent issues from occurring
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and bid specifications
• Ability to effectively present information in a clear and organized manner, and respond professionally and appropriately to questions of managers, reps, and customers
