Khepri Kitchen is looking for an experienced
Experienced Line Cook to join our scratch kitchen in Mount Prospect. This is a hands-on position for someone who knows their way around a busy kitchen, takes pride in quality and consistency, and can help set the pace for the rest of the team.

Schedule & Pay- Full-time position
- Starting at $23/hour
- Performance review and opportunity for a raise after 90 days
- Thursday–Monday schedule
- Shifts are typically: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
What You'll Do- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep for service
- Set up and maintain an organized, well-stocked station
- Execute menu items accurately and consistently during busy service periods
- Help keep the kitchen moving efficiently while maintaining food quality
- Support the execution of seasonal menus, specials, and new dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Lead by example through reliability, urgency, organization, and teamwork
What We're Looking For- Strong previous line cook and food prep experience
- Experience in a scratch kitchen preferred
- Comfortable working at a fast pace without sacrificing quality
- Strong understanding of kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety
- Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance
- Able to communicate well and contribute positively to a team
- Willing to jump in wherever needed during service
- Interested in learning, improving, and growing with the restaurant
A Lead Role Without the Management Headaches
This position is designed for an experienced cook who is ready to take on additional responsibility and help set the standard in the kitchen - but
doesn't necessarily want to manage the entire operation.
You will
not be responsible for employee scheduling, inventory ordering, or full kitchen management. Instead, your focus will remain where it matters most: preparing great food, supporting your team, and helping each service run smoothly.
