About the Role: Join our culinary team at 8207 NOMA as an Experienced Line Cook! This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a vibrant kitchen environment in Wilmington, NC. We are in need of 35-40 hours per week.
PERKS: We are a family business. You are treated as a person first and an employee second. Our hours are conducive for desirable work-life balance (9am - 7pm). In addition to hourly wages, our team splits all tips.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items to the highest quality standards.
Prepare and prep recipes.
Assist in the creation and execution of daily specials.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
Adapt to changing menu items and customer preferences.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
Passion for food and a commitment to quality.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
