Location: Illinois or Michigan preferred. Work arrangement is on-site, but this role is best positioned for attorneys in the Chicago and Michigan litigation markets.
Note: Candidates should have 3+ years of litigation experience and an active attorney license. Illinois or Michigan Bar admission is strongly preferred. Discovery, motion practice, strong writing, and complex litigation experience will be heavily weighted.

Job Description
- Represent survivors of abuse and catastrophic injury in complex plaintiff-side litigation matters
- Work closely with partners on high-impact abuse, catastrophic injury, and institutional accountability cases
- Handle discovery, discovery disputes, meet-and-confer efforts, and related motion practice
- Draft and revise substantive motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and litigation correspondence
- Develop legal theories, case strategy, and arguments in complex, high-value matters
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, survivor advocates, and investigators across active litigation teams
- Manage deadlines and responsibilities independently in a fast-paced, growing litigation practice
- Contribute to meaningful cases with the potential to create precedent, public awareness, and institutional reform
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active attorney license required; Illinois or Michigan Bar
- 3+ years of litigation experience required
- Strong discovery and motion practice experience required
- Very strong legal research and writing skills required
- Experience handling discovery disputes and working with opposing counsel preferred
- Plaintiff-side personal injury, class action, commercial litigation, complex litigation, government litigation, DOJ, U.S. Attorney's Office, or mid-size / big law litigation experience preferred
- Strong academic background preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a growing, high-performance litigation environment
