About the Role:
AJL Plumbing and Heating LLC is seeking an experienced plumber to join our dynamic team in Holbrook, NY. This position offers the opportunity to work on both commercial and residential projects throughout Long Island, providing top-notch plumbing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain water supply and drainage systems in commercial buildings such as offices, hospitals, factories, and schools.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot plumbing systems to identify leaks, malfunctions, low pressure, clogs, or system failures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan layouts and ensure correct installation.
- Install plumbing fixtures and equipment including sinks, toilets, water heaters, valves, and commercial appliances.
- Perform pipe fitting, soldering, welding, and assembly using copper, PVC, cast iron, and other materials.
- Document all repair, installation, and change orders when needed and communicate to management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Valid plumber’s license for the state of New York.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work on Saturdays at times to get the project done
