Experienced Mill Helper - DIRECT HIRE

We are hiring an Experienced Mill Helper in Youngstown, OH, for a leading precision-engineered custom roll form metal solutions company. If you have experience working in a mill or production environment and pride yourself on precision, quality, and efficiency, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you'll assist machine operators with setup, tear down, and the operation of production equipment to ensure smooth manufacturing processes. Hours:

2 -12 hours shifts from 7 AM – 7PM and 7PM -7AM or 3 shifts – 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM.

 

Pay:
$23.25/hr

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist operator in loading coils onto pay-off reel
  • Operate jib cranes
  • Set up and tear down the exit end racking
  • Help stack finished goods into proper packaging
  • Clean and paint equipment
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Band and wrap finished goods according to packaging specifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in manufacturing and mill environments
  • Safety awareness, teamwork, responsibility, initiative
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to read measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read manufacturing orders, quality check sheets, and part drawings
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to stand throughout the scheduled shift
