Job description
ERC is looking for Candidates with Leadership, Safety, Quality & Production as a Mindset... We are a busy construction civil firm hiring dedicated construction Operators & Laborers to join our Asphalt / Paving crew. Depending on the tasks to be filled, you may be asked to perform several functions throughout the day. You’ll report to a project superintendent and have the opportunity to work at various sites to prepare the ground for construction. This hands-on role requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Complete tasks as directed by the Foreman promptly.
- Maintain and clean work areas.
- Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required.
- Able to work and assist others to work safely within the guidelines of the company's policies.
- Operate Paving Equipment and/ or Labor.
- Set up Paver, Screed, and Rollers
- Match all paver joints and maintain consistency.
- Assist in patching asphalt.
- Ability to drive and operate equipment under varying working conditions.
Requirements:
- Prior experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
