**Job Summary:**
As a Plumber Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers to learn the trade and assist in various plumbing tasks. You will have the opportunity to learn about residential and commercial plumbing systems, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist licensed plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including pipes,
fixtures, and fittings in new construction projects at schools, nursing homes, banks, and other commercial
facilities.
- Assist with installing new underground plumbing, valves, fittings, tubing with use of couplings, assemble
pipe sections, clamps, screws, bolts, caulking, etc.
- Assist with carrying and installing equipment such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, and appliances.
- Learn to read blueprints and schematics to understand plumbing layouts and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems and assist in troubleshooting plumbing issues.
-Help with the preparation and setup of tools and materials for plumbing projects.
-Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
- Follow safety protocols and comply with all regulations and standards.
-Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance plumbing knowledge and skills.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers in a professional manner.
**Qualifications:**
- 3 to 4 years experience as a Plumber Apprentice
- Interest in pursuing a career in plumbing field
- Ability to lift heavy tools and equipment and perform physical labor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced plumbers.

**Work hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m.--3:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch.
**Pay is $18.00--$22.00 per hour DOE.
