Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Experienced Pre-K 3 Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves developing engaging curriculum, implementing effective teaching strategies, and supporting the social and emotional development of preschoolers. The Pre-K 3 Teacher will play a vital role in preparing children for future academic success while ensuring their safety, welfare, and enjoyment during their early learning experiences.
Pre-K Teacher Responsibilities
Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques.
Support children's development in areas such as language, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and cognitive abilities through engaging activities.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and promote child welfare.
Incorporate curriculum development strategies that include Montessori methods or other educational philosophies as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments, including standardized testing when applicable.
Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to provide a secure learning environment.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, early intervention, and other relevant topics.
Support inclusive education practices for children with special needs or requiring additional support services such as early intervention programs.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences to foster community involvement.
Pre-K Teacher Experience
Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required.
Demonstrated classroom management skills and experience with lesson planning for early childhood learners.
Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and childcare best practices.
Experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
Familiarity with curriculum development tools such as Montessori methods or literacy education strategies.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
