Experienced Press Brake Operator

Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour DOE
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4-day work week)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a precision metal fabrication team in Salt Lake City. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing background who can accurately read blueprints and CAD drawings, set up and operate press brake equipment, and consistently produce high-quality components within tight tolerances. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, safety, and producing quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of press brake machines to manufacture precision metal components.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Perform precision bends while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.
  • Select and install the appropriate punches, dies, and tooling for each production run.
  • Utilize tonnage charts to properly set up equipment for various materials and thicknesses.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using tape measures, calipers, protractors, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Verify dimensions, bend angles, radii, and bend deductions to ensure product accuracy.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to meet daily manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating and setting up press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of angle projection, tolerances, radii, and bend deductions.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, and protractors.
  • Knowledge of press brake tooling, tonnage charts, punches, and dies.
  • Experience operating one or more of the following machines:
    • Amada RG-50
    • Amada RG-80
    • Amada HG-3103
    • Amada Astro 100
    • Di-Acro machines
    • Manual back gauge systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented production environment.
