Select, position, and align various types of brake tooling
Set up brake press machines from blueprints and computer-stored information.
Read and understand work orders.
Interpret drawings & create forming sequences with multiple tooling sets. Goal: Decrease part handling time.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in performance of all job tasks; and complete tasks on time, notifying appropriate personnel with an alternate plan, if deadlines are not achievable.
Use bend allowance or set-back, to determine bend lines and stock leftover.
Form simple to complex parts, to specified tolerances, including short and long runs.
Use gauges and precision measuring instruments, to ensure accuracy of close tolerance work. Make necessary (routine) adjustments to machinery & measuring instruments, to ensure quality parts.
Inspect work - Perform 1st piece and mid-run inspections, to maintain quality throughout job.
