At Clark Pacific, the Project Engineer plays a key role in the successful design, fabrication, and installation of architectural and structural building systems. Working onsite as part of an integrated project team, this role applies engineering, project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and field operations to successfully deliver projects from design through installation.

This opportunity is ideal for engineers with 3+ years of experience who are looking to take on greater project responsibility while expanding their knowledge of design-build delivery, manufacturing, and construction. This is a 100% onsite position based in West Sacramento or Woodland, California.

Competitive Compensation:
$94,000-$110,000 annually, depending on experience, plus a hiring bonus.

We also offer relocation assistance for those willing to relocate to California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
  • Coordinate design-phase activities including structural calculations, submittal drawings, reinforcement detailing, miscellaneous metals, and design coordination.
  • Support manufacturing operations by reviewing shop drawings, coordinating production requirements, and resolving engineering-related issues.
  • Participate in field activities including crane studies, erection planning, field coordination, RFIs, and installation support.
  • Manage project documentation, schedules, engineering deliverables, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Field Operations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners throughout project development.
  • Identify engineering challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience.
  • EIT required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (approximately 30-50%).

  • Desire to continue growing into senior engineering and leadership opportunities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office, manufacturing, and field environments.
  • Periodic exposure to manufacturing facilities and construction job sites.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional travel to project sites.
