Our client, a well-established public accounting firm with over 50 years of success in Lake County, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team. What You'll Do:

• Prepare and plan individual and corporate income taxes

• Compile and review financial statements

• Prepare payroll and sales tax returns

• Perform bookkeeping services

• Support audit engagements

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to clients

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in public accounting

• Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting

• CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification

• Proficiency in Lacerte, UltraTax, Accounting CS, and QuickBooks

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information with discretion

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $81,000-$90,000 per year
