Experienced Rigger

TradeWorX is hiring experienced Riggers for heavy machinery moving and industrial rigging work based out of the Leechburg, PA area. This position is for candidates with hands-on experience safely lifting, moving, loading, unloading, and setting heavy machinery and equipment. Employees will report to the shop before traveling with the crew to field locations.

Pay & Overtime:

• $27 $32/hour based on experience
• Overtime may be available depending on project requirements

Schedule:

• Monday Friday
• Start times generally between 5: 00 AM and 7: 00 AM
• Report to the Leechburg-area shop before traveling to field locations
• Project schedules may occasionally require overtime, weekends, or schedule flexibility

Job Duties:

• Rig, lift, move, load/unload, and set heavy machinery and equipment
• Select and properly use slings, shackles, chains, hoists, come-alongs, spreader bars, jacks, rollers/skates, and related rigging equipment
• Determine appropriate rigging points and assist with safe lift planning
• Signal and communicate with crane, forklift, and equipment operators
• Move and position machinery in tight or difficult work areas
• Inspect rigging equipment and follow established safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous hands-on rigging or machinery-moving experience
• Working knowledge of rigging equipment, capacities, sling angles, center of gravity, and safe lifting practices
• Ability to work safely around cranes, forklifts, gantries, machinery movers, and heavy equipment
• Ability to perform physical work and travel from the shop to changing field locations
• Reliable transportation and ability to consistently meet early start times
• Ability to complete required background check and drug screen

• Has proven industrial rigging or machinery-moving experience
• Understands safe rigging practices and communicates effectively during equipment moves
• Is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in changing field environments
• Can work effectively as part of a rigging crew while performing assigned work independently when appropriate
