Location: San Antonio, TX 78249

Pay Rate: $28 $30/hr

TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Security Technician for commercial security projects in the San Antonio area. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician ready to take on advanced installation, troubleshooting, testing, and leadership responsibilities while continuing to build a long-term career in electronic security.

Job Duties
Lead and support security installation teams on commercial projects
Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and service advanced security systems
Work with access control, surveillance, intrusion, and other electronic security systems
Interpret blueprints, schematics, riser diagrams, and system documentation
Perform high-level system testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
Identify cable paths, equipment locations, and installation requirements
Assist with site surveys, project planning, estimating, and material requirements
Provide technical guidance and training to less-experienced technicians
Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, and other trades to ensure successful project completion
Maintain quality, safety, and installation standards throughout each project

Requirements
5+ years of experience in commercial electronic security or low-voltage systems
Advanced experience with access control, surveillance, intrusion, and security installations
Proven ability to lead small to large installation crews
Strong troubleshooting, testing, and documentation skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Experience with site surveys, estimating, or project coordination preferred
Strong knowledge of installation methods, cable pathways, and support structures
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation and valid driver s license
Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
