Mooresville Magnera is hiring experienced Slitter Operators for day and night shifts!
- Set up and operate slitter equipment to cut product to required width and diameter
- Follow all safety procedures and company operating standards
- Review work orders and verify machine settings, recipes, and knife alignment
- Perform startup, visual, and audio checks to ensure efficient operation
- Monitor quality, conduct inspections, and address quality or equipment issues
- Troubleshoot slitter and knife‑related problems as needed
- Communicate effectively with line operators, lab, and production leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or its equivalent.
- Demonstrate knowledge/experience operating a Slitter
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to complete required training, certifications, and safety programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
- Forklift experience or willingness to become forklift‑certified (company‑paid training provided)
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working with industrial equipment
- Basic computer skills for data entry or production tracking
- Experience working in a team‑based environment
