Job Position: Experienced Telecommunications Technicians

Location: Austin, TX 78758

Pay Rate: $25.00-$32.00/hr

Description: TradeSTAR Austin is hiring Level II & Level III Telecom / Structured Cabling Technicians for large commercial projects throughout the Austin area.
We re looking for experienced technicians who can step onto an active commercial jobsite and contribute to the installation, termination, testing, and completion of structured cabling systems.

Qualified technicians should have experience with:
Installing, routing, dressing, and labeling Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
Installing J-hooks, cable supports, ladder rack, and cable tray
Terminating workstation outlets, patch panels, 110/66 blocks, and related equipment
Telecom room and IDF/MDF build-outs
Copper and fiber backbone cabling
Testing, troubleshooting, and documenting installed cabling
Reading blueprints and identifying cable pathways
Working efficiently on large commercial construction projects
Maintaining quality workmanship and organized cable installations
Level III candidates may also bring experience leading crews, coordinating field activities, performing site surveys, assisting with project planning, and communicating project progress and material requirements.
Manufacturer certifications and industry credentials such as BICSI, Panduit, Leviton, Ortronics, CommScope, or similar are a plus when applicable.
