Experienced Tile Installer — $20–$30/Hour

Thomas Tile and Stone LLC is looking for an experienced tile installer to join our team for full-time work in Powhatan, Chesterfield, Richmond, and surrounding areas.

We specialize in high-end residential and custom-home tile installation and have a strong backlog of upcoming work. We are looking for a dependable installer who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and wants a long-term position with a growing company.

Pay: $20–$30/hour depending on demonstrated experience and ability.

Responsibilities

• Install tile on floors, walls, showers, backsplashes, and other residential applications
• Perform professional tile layouts
• Install large-format tile
• Make accurate cuts and complete detailed finish work
• Properly prepare substrates for installation
• Maintain proper mortar coverage and control lippage
• Maintain clean and professional jobsites
• Work independently when appropriate
• Follow company installation standards and procedures
• Communicate job progress and potential problems
• Work professionally around homeowners, builders, and other trades

What We're Looking For

You do not need to know every installation system we use. We can train an experienced installer on our preferred waterproofing products, shower procedures, and company standards.

However, applicants should already have strong tile-setting fundamentals and professional installation experience.

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

• Custom showers and bathrooms
• Floors and walls
• Large-format tile
• Layout and detailed finish work
• Substrate preparation and flatness correction
• Proper mortar coverage
• Lippage control
• Niches, mosaics, transitions, and detailed cuts
• Working independently
• High-end residential/custom-home construction

Compensation & Benefits
