Group Description: Equity Capital Markets (ECM) originates, advises, structures, and executes equity and equity-linked offerings for corporates and financial sponsors. ECM sits at the intersection of Evercore's investment banking advisory business and the Evercore ISI research / sales & trading business. ECM's activities include IPOs, follow-ons, convertible/derivative strategies, as well as other equity-adjacent advisory work around capital structure analysis and M&A.
What is the Position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Vice President [or Director] with ECM-specific experience for its team located in New York City. The role will be focused on covering clients in the Healthcare sectors.
Primary Responsibilities: Vice Presidents in ECM help drive the origination and execution of all deal activity. Specific responsibilities include:
Specific Qualifications: Vice Presidents in ECM play a vital role in the building of Evercore's underwriting business. Vice Presidents are responsible for generating new ideas and business opportunities, executing live opportunities and building client relationships. We are looking for excited, creative, team-oriented, organized, and resourceful multi-taskers with high intellectual curiosity and the long-term orientation to build the premier independent ECM franchise. Evercore's ECM business is growing - the candidate should be entrepreneurial and embrace a rapidly changing environment. Candidates should already be a Vice President or Director in Equity Capital Markets with 6+ years of investment banking experience post-BA or 3+years of investment banking experience post-MBA.
Expected Base Salary Range: $250,000 - $275,000
