Experienced Welder/Fabricator

Location: Lakeland, FL
Pay: $20–$29 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: First Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM Start
Employment Type: Full-Time

Nesco Resource is currently seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators for a well-established manufacturing company in Lakeland, FL. This position offers stable, year-round employment in a production fabrication environment building conveyor systems and material-handling equipment.

This is not an entry-level role. Candidates should have prior fabrication experience, be comfortable reading blueprints, and be capable of independently completing assemblies from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
• Verify materials and component specifications before fabrication.
• Cut, grind, bevel, drill, and prepare materials for assembly.
• Client out, fit, and fabricate steel components and assemblies.
• Perform MIG and flux-core welding on structural steel components.
• Grind, clean, and finish weldments for final production.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work independently and as part of a fabrication team.

Qualifications

• Previous welding and fabrication experience required.
• Strong blueprint-reading and measuring skills.
• Experience with MIG and/or flux-core welding.
• Ability to use standard fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage projects independently.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely work around fabrication equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work in a production manufacturing environment.
