Job Title: Expert Business Impact Analysis
Location: Oakland, CA
Pay Rate: $40 - $65 per hour, W2
Duration: 14+ Month Contract - Temp To Perm
Work Mode: Onsite as needed
Summary:
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis assessments and recovery requirements analysis across critical business and technology functions.
- Partner with business leaders, application teams, architects, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and continuity stakeholders.
- Evaluate operational impacts, identify critical dependencies, establish recovery requirements, and support enterprise resilience initiatives.
- Lead complex assessments, facilitate stakeholder engagements, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA) projects and assessments.
- Facilitate workshops with business leaders, application owners, architects, and technology teams.
- Evaluate financial, operational, customer, regulatory, safety, and reputational impacts.
- Determine and document Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), Maximum Tolerable Downtime (MTD), and recovery priorities.
- Analyze end-to-end business processes, application dependencies, infrastructure dependencies, and third-party service relationships.
- Lead large-scale resilience, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, and operational readiness initiatives.
- Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, executive communications, and status reporting.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and remediation activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Translate BIA findings into actionable recovery and resiliency recommendations.
- Partner with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Cyber Recovery, and Infrastructure teams.
- Support application recoverability assessments and recovery prioritization activities.
- Evaluate critical business services and supporting technology capabilities.
- Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and governance enhancements.
- Maintain BIA methodologies, standards, procedures, templates, and governance processes.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, compliance initiatives, and resilience assessments.
- Develop executive dashboards, metrics, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Serve as the enterprise BIA subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
- Build relationships with business leaders, technology organizations, risk management, cybersecurity, emergency preparedness, and continuity teams.
- Present findings, recommendations, roadmap activities, and risk assessments to leadership.
- Coach and educate stakeholders on resilience planning methodologies, standards, and best practices.
