Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.

Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM, and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.

Role Overview:
We are seeking Senior Physician & Surgeon Experts to generate, evaluate, and refine high-difficulty tasks for frontier AI initiatives. In this role, experts will build technically accurate, practical tasks that test advanced AI model capabilities in complex diagnostic reasoning, multi-system treatment planning, medical guideline interpretation, and clinical risk management.

Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: 8–15 years of post-residency clinical practice across inpatient, outpatient, or surgical settings. Must have actively practiced within the last 3 years to ensure clinical currency.
  • Credentials: MD, DO, or regionally equivalent medical qualification, with active or recent specialty board certification.
  • Core Competencies: Deep expertise in complex diagnostic reasoning, differential diagnosis formulation, evidence-based treatment planning, advanced medical guideline interpretation, and patient safety management.
  • Deliverable History: Proven track record of producing high-level medical deliverables, such as comprehensive clinical management plans, complex diagnostic workups, surgical consultation notes, treatment protocol revisions, and clinical case studies.
  • Exceptional Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex patient histories, lab results, imaging reports, and clinical symptoms to evaluate competing diagnostic hypotheses and treatment pathways.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing high-difficulty medical scenarios, ensuring 100% technical precision, clinical accuracy, patient safety, and adherence to established medical standards.
  • Communication: Superior written communication skills for creating nuanced clinical scenarios, detailed evaluation rubrics, professional medical assessments, and gold-standard solutions.
  • Leadership & Independence: Ability to own day-to-day quality, calibrate peer outputs, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be part of a specialized functional pod responsible for creating high-quality training and evaluation data for AI models. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Producing expert-level tasks and gold-standard solutions in nursing care, clinical assessment, and care coordination that meet the pod's quality bar.
  • Authoring realistic clinical scenarios involving nursing assessments, triage decisions, care planning, patient education, and interdisciplinary handoffs.
  • Applying rubric standards and grading frameworks set by the Functional SME (Expert) Lead.
  • Working under senior review to incorporate calibration feedback, refine outputs, and iterate on task designs.
  • Verifying that all created clinical scenarios, patient charts, and nursing interventions are accurate, practical, and compliant with current clinical guidelines.
  • Ensuring consistent alignment with project guidelines, quality benchmarks, and milestone deadlines.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.

Offer Details:
  • Commitments Required: at least 4 hours per day and upto 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Engagement type: Contractor
  • Engagement Length: 9 weeks
